Nope

Well, assuming you are using shoe trees properly

What do you mean by properly. I but the ones from Nordstroms rack... I place the shoe trees in and the shoes become tight both in length and width.

Sometimes depending on the trees they can change the shape of the shoe. I have a pair of Church's that was made on one of their narrower lasts. I used a generic shoe tree for years. After a while, I notice that the shoe took the shape of the tree. It's not too obvious but it still altered the shoe shape.

Unionmade has some on a brick sole, and I believe Epaulet is going to have some version of what you're looking for in the spring.

I posted this the other day, but it didn't actually post for a couple days and got lost in the mix.  Just wanted to repost to see if anyone had any interest.

Is anyone interested in a very lightly worn (10-12 wears) pair of 11.5 A/C split toe Alden cordovan #8 loafers from the Alden NYC store?  These are on the Grant last and, much to my dismay, I have discovered that I am really a 12 A/C.  Have a new pair on order, but wanted to see if anyone wanted to take these off my hands.  If there is some interest, I will post some better pics.  These retail for over $600.

Is there a cigar, ravello, or whiskey dress shoe other than the Shoemart 90730? I don't want another LWB at this time.

I'm looking for a dress shoe in one of these colors. I have a #8 shortwing, #8 perf captoe boot, #8 chukka, black shell LWB (Grant), natural CXL PTB, and brown suede tassle loafer. I think that one of the other shell colors in a shoe is the next buy.

Thanks!

Alden Madison Ave shows some dress shoes in the cigar and whiskey on its Web site: www.aldenshoe.com. Hard to say what sizes they actually have in stock. I've been admiring a number of the oxfords they show. The "good thing" is the they are all on lasts I'm not familiar with, so I have to wait until I can figure out my sizing.

Seems like Alden DC has some good stuff too from what we've been hearing. Might be worth making a call there.

Since there's been a good numher of sartorial questions on here lately, let me ask another. What is everyone's thoughts about wearing #8 color wingtips with a dark grey/charcoal suit?  I've always thought they look great with navy and light gray, but thought about subbing them in for my black wingtips every now and again with the darker suits.  Thoughts?

Yes - I believe it is flat welt, antique edge, combo double leather / commando sole

Meant more in terms of regular usage, as in after each wear

But sounds like you're already doing that so the wrinkles (with shell they're commonly referred to as "ripples") aren't going to get any better with time... just gotta love it or leave it

That link just does to some ISP...

Edit - I guess the correct link is

http://www.aldenshoe.com

but that is Alden's corporate website.
