All, I just recently came to the realization that barrie-lasted shoes don't really work for me because of the heel is too wide; so I am going to have to part ways with some of my Aldens shoes.

Before I go to the trouble of making an ebay listing, I wanted to see if anyone on this thread would be interested in a pair of black alpine grain/whiskey shell saddles from Blackbird that I have worn literally 3 times. They are size 10D on the Barrie last.

Sold out in that size, retailing for $535. Looking to get $400 or best offer.

You can check out the link below:

PM if you are seriously interested and I can pass along pics. Thanks.

Keep your eyes peeled and be prepared to wait 9 - 12 months at minimum.

Hmm.. If I have a pair of Whiskey LWBs, would that boot be redundant... (almost makes me wish I had gone with the Cigar LWB).

Looks like I know where some of my tax refund is going.

^ Yeah, I'd consider that dark suede version if it was still an option. The CXL Roy is tough to beat though...

Those. Are awful.

But that is just one man's opinion! I also could see it working better with a different sole.

Would love to see pics! Sounds like a great shoe.

Ah, crap, this one is already over? I was hoping it was still in pre-order. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out on ebay/b&s for em, then. :/

After a few months of lurking, I finally have determined it's a good time to start contributing.

Natural CXL PTB's from Alden Madison Ave

Yes, welcome (and it is a great shoe). But, candidly I'm a little concerned that you've been lurking for a few months and the only damage we've caused you to do is a pair of natural CXL PTBs.

Me too... I started lurking back in feb of 2011 and within a month I had cigar LWB and Ravello wt boots. Now 1 year latter my closet is full of shell (and some suede LWB). I've even sold some shell to fund more purchases.

That's what I'm talking about!

And I'm betting that you've played with the idea of kopping a voodoo bone. Right?

I dont have any barrie/tb/modified lasts alden but is that how you usually size down for them? You keep the width? Wouldn`t the width of the smaller size be slightly narrower? That`s why I thought you go up 1 width when sizing down

Ie. Plaza size 7C = Trubalance 6.5D
