I was not loving the Indy's at first, but if you see them in person and try them on I guarantee you'll like them, if only a little bit more. Great lines, construction, fit. I am not saying you'll be a believer but you will appreciate them more.
try checking out a whiskey indy in person. I would be very surprised if you didn't love that boot. whiskey is just so nice for a boot...
Whiskey Indy boots are weird (Alden on Madison has them). The Indy is a strict casual boot (the trubalance last and moc toe make it so); the whisky version on double leather soles is too fancy for its own good. Indy boots are good casual workhorse shoes- I wear mine when I want a nice durable shoe in muddy/rainy conditions (like a tailgate on wet grass / mud). They are also good general fall/winter casual boots with jeans. However, they work best in chromexel, camios, and other thicker leathers, and only on commando or the original cork sole... The only cordovan Indy that I've seen work is the cigar version on the commando sole
When did Leathersoul cease "supporting" this thread?
since they got bashed
Yah see what you did? LS never got bashed. If I remember correctly, the last incident involved an SF'ers friend and an associate at LS. It was a customer service issue. The forum's response was overly critical (surprise, right?), but to associate that incident with LS dropping their name from the thread title is merely speculation. I just thought it was pleasantly unconventional to begin with
need some advice regarding my ravello cordovan boots: having worn them for approx. 10 times, creasings has been developed and some uneven marks are appearing in the creases; to me these marks look dry and flaky and brushing vigorously makes it worse by making it look more prominent. is this normal and should i be worried? is it time for some renovator? please refer to pics. thanks!
