This, and also because Shoemart doesn't charge tax or shipping. The shoes really do it for me though in terms of quality and pricing. Prior to the Aldens, the only other nice pair of shoes I owned was a pair of AEs, and I thought the Aldens blew those out of the water.
I guess I'm not old enough to appreciate the super sleek lasts that the MCers love yet. I wear suits with my Barrie last Aldens all the time.
I believe that everyone on this board has said that many times...
There is nothing else that I really want.. I have all the shells sans #4 and enough calf to be versatile for a while. Plus I'm running out of room doesn't help. I'm just going to save up for my Rolex and Panerai and revisit the footwear department in 2013.
what do yall's sig other think about the accumulation of shoes? im in between 30-40 atm
As long as I keep my closet and dressers clean and organized and stuff isn't spilling out all over the place, my wife doesn't care about my shoe/clothing fetish. I usually try to get rid of a pair of shoes for each I purchase so that helps with the effort.

My apartment is smaller than some of these guys' houses. Two hundred and twenty square feet of living space, plus a kitchen and shower room. But, it's cozy and it's home. I've got my ~40 pairs of shoes in racks in the closet and in a couple of storage boxes. I need to weed them down to my favorite 3 or 4 pair...
Holy crap I'm a small-timer. I have three pairs of boots, two pairs of sneaks. That's right, that means NO oxfords. And none of my boots are Aldens. *needle scratches off the record; room goes quiet; I slowly back out..."
