Worth the wait. My pair has about a year of age on it. It's well worth waiting. They're amazing boots.

Leffot carries a Ravello captoe boot on the Grant last. It might be worth inquiring to see when they're getting that in -- if you're into another captoe boot, that is. It seemed like you had at least two already in your previous "family" posts.

Snuff suede shortwings from Frans Boone. He has better pictures on his site, but I thought I'd share anyhow. I think I'm going to like these.

Very nice. The brown calfskin looks great. What have you treated it with?

CTYGGG, those are gorgeous!

So I wore my Pitt Boots around today and really loved them. I'm real excited to put them through their rounds in the snow and to see how they hold up. I think that they're great looking boots; the Barrie last is certainly more sleek than some of you guys made it out to be. wink.gif I snapped some photos, if anyone is interested:

Also, I know this might be a silly question, but is it normal for the tip of the sole to be kinda flattening out over the edge like so?

It's obvious that you aren't following the mac method for walking in Aldens! Think dressage!

I'm not sure what the Mac Method is. Like I mentioned, I'm extremely new to this. I just laced them up and started walking around in them today. biggrin.gif

I do plan on following this Mac Method once I receive my horsehair brush and paste in the mail, though!

But yeah, are you saying that the sandpaper-looking rough edge is irregular? What exactly am I doing to cause this?
