Mick, you are the same size on Plaza and trubalance? I am confused. Luckily, I can try them on, so we will see on Monday.

This threw me for a loop too. I'm a 8.5D on the Barrie and 9D on the Grant. I'm also a 9D on the Leydon FWIW.

On that same note Tom, can we expect that shipment to have the Chromexcel LHS from last October's Alden contest? Or are they still super backed up?

Check with Bryan at LSBH concerning longwings in tan suede, he may have some in stock.

Hi Tom,

Any word from the factory as to the status of the above order from last January?

Thanks!

Should be here in 1-2 weeks!

That's awesome! Can't wait to get these.
Also, just off the phone with Kathy (Alden D.C.) again. The cigar captoe like mickcollins has came in this afternoon. They are being shipped to me later today.
Wearing a #8 captoe on the Plaza right now, courtesy of Brian at Leathersoul. Hoping the
9 on the Grant fits equally as well.

Those are super backed up unfortunately. They are lasted and in the handsewing room currently. Almost there...

Mahalo Zippy for stopping in again. There's a couple new Japanese restaurants in town that are really good in case you need suggestions. I can also give you suggestions for local type hole in the wall places but I know you like fine dining.

Yes, I am all over the map on Alden sizing. The 9E and 9D BOTH fit me well in Trubalance. I have shoes on the Grant last in several sizes that fit me well, but 9E is best. 8.5E on Barrie is comfortable and I am definitely a 9E on the Plaza and Aberdeen.

I'm not an Indy guy, but I believe you can find them at Alden of Carmel and The Shoe Mart and Unionmade. I don't know about Leather Soul. I think they probably do carry them, but you'd have to make an inquiry to find out what they have in stock.

Epaulet has two stores, one in Brooklyn and one in the lower east side. I have Epaulet's "black and tan" Indy makeup, and love them.

I knew that was Halekulani - perhaps my favorite resort in the world. Went for the Mai Tais at Room Without a Key every night I was there on my honeymoon. We will definitely be back.

So I have had my Indys now for about 6 months and they are pretty scuffed up. What sort of wax should I use to help clean them up? Thinking of kiwi dark brown wax (I have the chromexcel Brian Indys)
