I think I received them around the end of August. Not daily wear, but somewhat regular. Maybe a few solid weeks here and there.

The color is actually a bit lighter and more tan in sunlight. I suppose you could hasten the process by applying any number of oils/waxes/finishes, but I don't care enough to bother.

I probably won't be purchasing any more boots on the modified last as it doesn't fit my foot very well. Kinda tight in the ball and arch after a few hours.

How would you compare the modified last to trubalance or barrie (if you have any)? I'm asking because all 3 are suppose to run half a size bigger.

Modified last seems tighter in the inner middle section of the foot. It's not painful, but there's more pressure exerted in that area than I'm used to. Heel and toe feel about the same as the Barrie.

just acquired my Alden Cigar Shell chukkas, pretty happy as I had a hankering for a

- PTB
- boot
- ravello or cigar

so I pounced when I saw a cigar plain toe (is there another kind?) chukka come up in buy/sell. 3 birds with 1 stone!

I have AE Shell (burgundy) cordovan cream. has anybody ever used this on cigar, obviously very lightly? if not, what is recommended?

Alden "produces" a dark brown paste wax that is recomended for Cigar. Alden in SF has it, as I'm sure Shoemart does as well.

Whiskey NSTs

I have a pair of the whiskey NSTs in size 9.5 B/D that I picked up at LSBH (here is the link to Tom's site: http://www.leathersoulhawaii.com/201...nsts-for-lsbh/)

They are great shoes but I really prefer the NSTs built on the Aberdeen last. If you are interested I'm planning on listing these shoes on eBay tonight/tomorrow.
