For those who have less than 30 posts on SF, I think you win for highest quality posts. Nice shine on your PTBs.

I am on a pre-order for this boot and was a tad annoyed that these came in for regular stock and not the pre-order(actually second time, once on the context tanker)...I much prefer the contrast and now glad mine is not in this batch. Not that the above pictured is anything wrong but I want the contrast.

Well nevermind...turns out the email got buried and I am on this order...hopefully when it arrives it looks more like the stock photo than that new photo...I have some alabaster laces ready to match the what hopefully will be contrast stitching.

Hey Guys, having never had an Alden made Commando sole, how do they wear? Seems like I feel the tiny lugs somewhat. Thanks ..

It's just some bloom, which occurs naturally.

A good brushing session will take care of it. I had some really extensive bloom on my Citishoes NST boots, and I had to resort to using some renovateur in addition to the brushing, and all was well.

This is a naturally occurring aspect of shell. If you have some shell shoes put away for a while, when you get them out, you'll likely see something similar.

I'm not concerned at all with the bloom. It's the huge crease by the heel that bothers me.
