I would recommend a rubber Topy on top of single leather to extend the life of the sole.

I think I remember  someone saying BNelson put a double leather sole (JR) on a pair of LHS.  I'm pretty sure it was @mcarthur

Thanks Uncle.  This pair doesn't quite get the love it should.  You are absolutely correct; for a blucher it pairs quite well with a suit.
