Thanks for the kind words friends!
@bespoken pa
, I believe these boots were a make-up done for Tassels in Hong Kong.  For some reason they did not ship and ended up with Kathy in DC.  It looks like this is very similar to the boot in production for Adam and AoC that @TO Tie Guy
mentioned earlier (color 8 medallion straight tip on aberdeen).

Merry Christmas/happy holidays!

If only Adam's were Cigar!! satisfied.gif

I put in an e-mail to Adam for some clarity on what this mock up will look like. I'll post his response here for everyone to review.

PS: I hear you on the cigar shell...but remember...As per Alden: There simply isn't enough supply for Cigar, Ravello, and Whiskey makes...only millions and millions of color 8 and black.

The Need Supply Co. Thompson Color 8 PTB arrived last night. Model # D5415. I was one of those who got in on the "mistake" price and there was no questions asked. Thumbs up for Need Supply!

It's very cigar like until you hold it to the light so the Need Supply stock photos are very true. I am glad the Barrie sizing on these holds true, I sized half down.

The boot will be very similar to the one repp posted. I am interested in the broguing. I wonder if it will be a replica of the Epaulet Alt Wien boot..

The boot repp posted is a cap toe I believe while this will be a straight tip. Other than that, it appears to be the same.

I am unsure of whether the Epaulet boot is a cap toe or straight tip as the order they have in currently is the first one they have submitted for it.

, exceptionally well rounded line-up this past week Mike!  Every time I see the 974 I tell myself I need to position that (or the 9741 - black shell) at the top of the queue.  While the tremont last isn't for everyone, I think this is a highly underrated stock model.

Thanks Reppie! Good to see you around here. Happy Holidays!!! Your Cigars are looking sweet!

New Cigar and 8 are looking pretty similar these days, but they do diverge quickly.

Are you saying that the Cap Toe will have pinking or not?

Cap toe and straight tip are synonymous.  This boot should be identical to mine other than it being color 8.  Not sure if the broguing pattern is exactly the same as Epaulet's alt wien but I suspect it is.

Speaking of highly underrated stock models (well it used to be), the 2145 is the shoe version of this boot...

The new boot should make for an awesome addition to the AOC collection!

@mdubs I think @ReppTiePrepster answered the question about pinking and that the AoC boot will indeed have it. Should be a great makeup.

Unfortunately neither Adam or Yenni have spots for us bigger footed folks. I still don't know why they don't do a full size run (7-12)

Overcast and blah day today.
Barbour , selvedge and Alden J. Crew captoes.... I really need to shine them.

Question for you shell pro's, do I just use a brush on them or a little reno first and then brush? What's the consensus these days?

Just brush. I don't put a thing on them unless they are really dry. Wipe and brush, wipe again and the shine should be good!

@ClassyCanuck

nice boots sir. i no longer use reno or any other product. damp cloth and brush. a little alden natural boot cream if necessary once or twice a year.
