I'm more cautious with lighter shell due to potential water stains and like others, I only trust commando (or similar) sole in bad weather.  Sorry for the huge pictures - my computer is acting weird this morning...

Good to see the boots getting used. That was a lot of gunk on them!

Sand did get in my boots

Looking good in your new PCTs, but you have more guts than me wearing them on the sand, especially with that sole.

I wear cigar and #8 all the time. Whiskey leather is too darn light.

Sizes are 9D and 8.5 D for the loafers.

Always too lazy sharing photos here as IG is too convenient. But would like to take some time to share these Saddles that I recently acquired.

This is a pair of Color 8 Scotch Grain Shell x Black Shell Saddles. Alden made these for SHIPS Japan's 30th anniversary. Base on the code inside the shoes, these should be made around 2007. I am really delighted to be able to get this pair in BNIB condition. The Grain shell is truly something else and I can't wait to see how they age.

Thanks Uncle, you certainly would know more than me, but I always thought the "stock" models were what you could find in the official Alden catalog. 974, 975, 986, etc. The 9015 is certainly well stocked by many retailers and comes in a number of widths, so it is as stock as you get.
