As I refer to in my article, I am always nervous about something new and unseen, but these Tan CC LWBs came out fantastic.

Enjoy!

This is the same reason why I refuse to deal with Harrison Ltd at this point - they have totally blown off several emails and were very unhelpful on the phone when I called. Funny that both LS and Harrison were named to GQ's top menswear shops in various categories - my experience with both of them has been anything but.

On the bright side, there are some truly fantastic Alden retailers out there - Kathy and Joe at Alden DC, Yenni at Brick & Mortar, Adam at Alden of Carmel, the folks at Alden Madison NY, the Zapatkas at TheShoeMart, etc. - all fantastic to deal with in my experience.

nephew,
you should add james at alden-sf

Mac, your Ravello Full-Straps are absolutely superb. They are an amazing color of Ravello and yours have a good shine on them. Always a good pairing with Ravello and Navy.

Love both but that Ravello WT is fantastic!

Tomorrow these puppies turn 4. Surprised it's been that long since I bought them. Cleaned the stitching for the first time last night which made them look so much cleaner! Living in SoCal they only get a few months wear on any given year, but these boots are still my favorite.

Does anyone have any suggestions on stopping blisters? Not all the time, but often enough, my inner right heel will get a blister. I've tried different socks, put in one of those gel heel inserts (which mostly helps), tied laces tighter/looser, but it still happens. I'd wear the boots more for longer periods if I wasn't afraid of getting stuck in the mountains with a massive blister. Doesn't happen with a single other pair of shoes/boots I own.

Never dealt with anyone over at Alden SF, but I'm sure I will at some point. Thanks for the suggestion.

You're a better man than me. I would stop wearing them.

this is precisely the issue. I've reached out to them multiple times regarding a few color 8 models and it's always the same elitist attitude. Not necessarily rude, but a tone indicating that I needn't get my hopes up because their makeups are too exclusive for me. It's not as if exclusive makeups are all I seek and positive interactions would definitely have driven me there for stock models. Because this is discussed repeatedly and people always come to defend them, I've given them multiple chances. A shame, because I feel so incomplete without their plaza semi brogue in my life.
