No, they are 4065's.  My goof and post corrected..  Those Ravello Aberdeen NST's are sublime

Picked these up on eBay for a casual weekender, Aldens version of a country boot.

A little change of pace from shell...

First time I've ever bought pre-owned shoes, looked like about 10 wears.

Never gotten such bad blisters in my life!  I though I could jump right into a full day since

they had been previously broken in.  I was wrong.....

I do love the boots!

Haha - my bud @Namor also had a good laugh last winter: seems he didn't recognize a snow shovel. smile.gif

We can barely get any rain. If we also had snow we'd barely know what to do with ourselves. We only wear our boots for show and only on Sunday day. Water spots, eeeks!

New Frans Boone "Dr. Jones" is mighty squeaky when walking. Will that go away with time and breaking in?

my Jcrew pct squeaked pretty bad, but after some indoor break-in time the squeaking diminished significantly.  I have not worn these outside yet, but I'm hoping that once they are fully broken in they will not squeak at all.

Today Leathersoul UI.

The revcham WT boots are still quite a few weeks out, late winter delivery is the estimate I was given.

However, the #8 Grant WT boots are supposed to be shipping from Alden to Seattle the beginning of December.

I'm also on both those preorders so I can share your enthusiasm. <<< get it? Because the new thread title rimshot.gif

I've been doing so good resisting these boots. You may have just pushed me over the edge.
EDIT: And I'm safe due to my size not being in stock

Rub a small amount of baby powder or gold bond where the tongue meets the side flaps. That and some wear will alleviate the issue.

Now do I file this under Color 8 Shell Cordovan or Other Materials on my "My Collection" section? Initial thought is that they go right below the Blackbird Saddles on my Color 8 page...

-Mike

In my opinion... they should not go under the color 8 section since the color 8 part of them is really not the part of the shoe that is most important. They are a primarily suede shoe. Just my opinion... If you just can't decide you could always let me add them to my collection (just putting it out there).
