The talk about the strong odor from chamois is very true. It is a strong leather smell that is evident still after many wears.

I have been seeking another chamois shoe or boot. Brown or black are the most common options. The leffot green which boot
Is awesome. The Winn-perry LWB posted days back is a regret for me to have skipped. Simply undecided between chamois reverse chamois or kudu at the time than of course sold out too soon.

I saw green reverse chiukkas somewhere and they are tempting.

Care of the leather is easy and mine look brand new still after years of wear in weather and wood shop

Thanks for your feedback. What is the care for chamois anyways? How do they do in the rain?

To me the smell is reminiscent of Play d'oh.

I've always liked how Namor switches from dressy to rough wear and gets good use out of his gear.

Thanks man had to do whatever was necassary to pass a building inspection. Alden Indy in TC is tough as nails. Hiked up half dome with these boots too. The leather feels impenetrable

Do Aldens have narrower heals than AE, or is the heel width just specified while others don't bother at all?

Excellent example NAMOR. tough as nails and very waterproof for the quick clean up

I do get hints of play d'oh and care is easy with some cheap neats foot oil will keep them from drying out.

Heal width is still marked. It was fully customizable. About 6 years ago the program ended

does the leather feel rubbery to you? similar to shell? also tobacco chamois hasnt stretched for me. in that sense its kind of elastic because no matter how much the leather loosens up after multiple consecutive wears, the leather reverts to its previous tightness

These look great, close to my Kudu Indys, which have a full vibram sole which I really like on them.

these look so nice! I have a pair I'm likely going to sell (7.5D) as they are super dark and I don't think the patina will be this noticeable&amazing..
