Hello all, was wondering if there is any feedback or pics from owners of the Alden AF120, PT boot, brown chromexcel, trubalance last.

http://www.alden-of-carmel.com/shoes-brown-chromexcel-plain-toe-boot-339.htm

Currently on sale from Alden of Carmel, the colourway that they have left is much darker than said picture.

The only alternative I can find with the same makeup is the Context Roy boot, which has a crepe sole and a all-round welt as opposed to the antique one on the Carme version.

Any feedback welcome.

I usually wear my new shoes in the office for 1 or 2 days. Usually one, though. After that I wear them as usual.

You obviously need to spend more time on @mdubs' AoSD site. wink.gif

Or in some cases, not at all :)

I do the same - 2 days in the office then they are ready for the street

What good are boots if you can't lock them up in an alarmed display case in on your night stand with a laser trip wire when you enter the room?

Just got the first pair delivered. The last pair in my size... Is the misaligned eyelets (left shoe) a big deal? Should I keep them or is it too noticeable?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Not that noticeable to me, but if it will bother you, return them.

I really don't want to go to the trouble of a return to the Netherlands if I don't have to... And it isn't like I can just exchange. They were the last 9.5E available. But for the price of the boots, I wonder if I should expect more.

You can email general@aldenshoe.com and see if they are willing/able to do anything for you.
