Without further ado, it is the Alden x Tassels 8th Anniversary Edition Unlined Leisure Handsewn Loafer made of Unlined Color #2 Shell Cordovan.

More pictures and information can be found here:

Yes, I realized that the shade of Color #2 is not for everyone, but still a pretty cool and unique makeup.

awesome loafers dubs. :slayer:

not for everyone is right, only for a very fortunate few.

recently learned the number "10.5" represents bad luck in many cultures... if anyone has a pair that size, you must get rid of them.  i'll take that misfortune away from you, your family, your pets, and your nfl team.

True to size (Barrie). Bought these for sloppy weather.

Hello all,

I recently picked up a pair of Aldens (Medallion Tip Bal) that are also stamped "Parisian" on the footbed. I am guessing that this is/was a retailer? I searched this thread but didn't find any mention of "Parisian" stamped Aldens.

Does anyone know anything about these "Parisian" stamped Aldens? i.e., when were they produced? Any differences from the standard Aldens?

Thanks smile.gif

Nothing wrong with them. Vendors of Alden shoes can do special orders and can change leathers, lasts, etc. Likely made for this shop.

I was always mixed on #2 on the LWB (great color but not as crazy about the edge). However, no such ambivalence on the LHS. That's a great shoe Mike. Congrats on a very nice, and rare, pickup.

@mdubs

Congrats on your #2 LHS Brother.

I know you truly enjoy your Alden's and especially rarities such as those beauties.

Also, the pics and description of those shoes is a very good thing for the furtherance of Aldenology.

Of which you have a PHD.

Mike - absolutely delightful makeup from a fantastic store! Given that color 2 is more "out there", I much prefer these to the Longwing makeup.

I think these are a sleeper. Never expected Grant to look so good on a loafer!
