My left and right don't crease the same either. Gives them character.

the pencil method does not work all the time. (almost never)

shell is going to crease where its needed. enjoy your boots, they look great.

also prefer the captoe for looks on boots, especially with shell creasing. but I run into another problem on occasion as the position of the captoe can sometimes cause pinching at the toe if it lands at the wrong spot. Had it occur on a pair of grant lasted captoes and 2 pairs of trickers.

I think that is one good thing about having a higher arched foot is that I have yet to have any pinching at the toe...it is always in the back of mind but luckily have not had it happen yet

Your Natty CXL PTBs are looking very nice. I enjoy natural lighting on your pictures, even if it means going higher ISO.

Can someone tell me the difference between this and the cordovan indy boot. Is it just the last?

Yea that's what people call the "Dr. Jones" boot.

I have wanted a cordovan indy boot, but cannot find them in my exact size. This one is. I think I would be just as happy with these. Does the last, in your opinion, make it much more dressy than the indy? I mean, is it still acceptable with jeans?
