Does anyone know how much it would cost around to get commando soles on 405s ? I have the 403Cs that I love and would love to have the commando sole on 405s. Not a fan of the standard sole.

Hey Alden friends - I know this was a recent discussion topic, but where are folks sending footwear to get the brass eyelet conversions done?  I'm thinking about sending my AF53s in for some work.

Thanks!  Does anyone know if the price is $40 per eyelet or for the whole boot?  I have a feeling it's per eyelet...

RE: Sublime Goods. Where is this place located? Can't find a physical address anywhere on their site. Got to mail the shoes somewhere!

First time out with the J. Crew PCTs. Before I left, I took a few pre-roll/pre-wear shots.

A few pics of them after being out and about. I forgot how much of a rich purple/eggplant these shine in bright sunlight.

I couldn't be happier with their fit and ultimate comfort. They felt broken in out of the box and I'm looking forward to them getting even better with age.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

I highly doubt it, you'd be paying $1440 for an eyelet job of a typical boot.    I would say that's per boot, or per pair.

Thanks. Really curious why this info isn't on their site. Even if they don't have a b&m store, which must be the case, obviously people are going to need to know where to send to.

Semi off topic but hey: I'm considering a pair of Indy boots (natural CXL) but also see a nice selection of Viberg service boots (2030 last)—brown CXL with a straight cap toe, color 8 CXL with a perforated cap toe and an interesting "iced mocha" CXL, which looks like a darker natural CXL, PTB. All have brass hardware.

I work in a business casual environment most days & either boot would be fine with chinos, cords, Oxford shirts, etc.

Can anyone weigh the pros and cons of these two boots? I realize it's an Alden thread but how's the construction comparison? The 2030 looks a bit sleeker than the TruBalance last though I've reading sizing is the same. Really any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much!

I checked in with them last month. Its $40/pair. you add to cart/purchase, then you get the address to send them in.

Perfect.  That's exactly the info I was looking for.  I'll need to replace the hooks too if they're able (want to keep the hooks, but convert them to brass).  We'll see if that's possible.

After almost hitting 80 today I was able to break out the Leffot #8 Dovers.  These shoes love to hold on to water spots, but I love them nonetheless.  Wish I had natural light to snap some photos.
