Your Black Shell Boots are looking good BK!
Very nice looking Shortwings. Interesting makeup. Pretty close to the Leffot Suede LWB.
Don, absolutely superb!
Looking good in your LWBs. Hope that you are enjoying them!
Looking great in your classic King LWBs. Such a great and versatile model.
Looking very nice, but surprised to see you still rocking tan suede. :-)
Looking good in two very great and classic models. The Color 8 Tassel is superb and the foxing is a nice addition. Your Black LHSes are great.
Yeah, I have a pair of Brand New Oxblood 2's. I really like them, but not sure I can pull them off.
Great looking Wingtip Boot Zipster! Enjoy them today!
DV, your LWBs are looking very good. Those just have a great color. I miss them. :-)
Mac, your King WT Boots are looking superb. A great combination with your Argyles and khakis. Very nice shine and the plaza last is just such a beautiful last.
Alden uses Split Toe Trees. They are not lasted and expand to fit the form of the shoe. Work well, but lasted would ideally be better. But that comes at a much greater cost... and Alden does not offer them.

thanks for the kind words gentlemen.

@peppercorn78 yes, very interesting ravello shade.

Embrace, but you can probably minimize the contrast with some brushing.

A little brown shoe cream and away you go....While I like CXL and have a bunch of it - never quite understood why it is so popular given that it is not a dyed through leather and what happened to your boot would be common. Personally I prefer Latigo(1 pair owned) which is dyed through and similar in strength but sadly not available that often by boot makers...do not think Alden has ever offered it but I am no expert there.

Awesome pants, though. I'll definitely have to pounce when they come back around.

for science I tried this today. these pants are what Bonobos calls "beetniks", which is maybe somewhere between red and magenta.

(these are Rancourt Horween shell but figured I'd throw a pic in)

Hey guys, I realize this is a long shot, but I found some very cool vintage shoes while thrifting yesterday and I'm wondering if anyone recognizes them. I don't know anything about them except that they were likely donated by the same guy who donated a pair of #8 shell AE Leeds PTB (available if anybody is interested) and a couple other pairs of AE. They remind me of chromexcel in that the leather is very oily and won't take a wax polish.

If nothing else, I wanted to show off my new exposed brass eyelets!

Looking for a bit of advice, i want to start expanding my business casual wardrobe. Currently i have a black captoe, brown wingtip and a chili loafer.

In the upcoming months ill be looking to purchase 2-3 pairs of alden shoes/ boots. (I will also be picking up a pair of epaulet jumper boots for the winter) I would like some recommendations as to which shoes would be the best to get and in what order i should get them. I live in nyc and would rather by the shoes in a brick and mortar location, as far as locations go i know that epaulet has a small collection of aldens and leffot does as well, any other stores i should check out?

What interest me most are the unlined chukka boots, the longwings and the alden x leffot coolney. I like the indy boot in 403 but i think it might be too casual to wear with trousers and a ocbd.

(THIS IS THE BOOT I LOVE)
