Those look tremendous - who does that makeup belong to?

Does Alden make a Shell Cordovan Boot with a real Strom Welt and not just a reverse welt? Thanks.. I know most C&J boot makeups are storm welted.

I only took one pair of boots with me --- the Alden/Leffot brown CXL PT boots.  They took a beating but took everything in stride.

Agree Ravello is beautiful...had a stunning pasta dish of Anchovy oil and walnuts...I need to get back.

A storm welt and a reverse welt is the same in nearly all modern boot constructions, including C&J

Surprisingly well.  Hardly any water even got to the inside of the boot -- only a bit around the edges near the ball of the foot.  Most of the rest didn't manage to make it all the way through.  And it's always interesting to see how these only really absorb water where they flex the most.  That's probably because AoM recommended mink oil as a way to weather-proof these, and I've given them a coat or two of it.

These are one of the best wingtip boots I've ever seen...perfect combo with socks and pants as well.

Looks like you had a great trip! My wife would just shake her head if she heard me say that I had to take a picture of Ravello, Italy...

Has anyone done a run of Ravello, Cigar, or Whiskey wingtip boots with all eyelets and a double leather sole?

Epaulet's Brixton boot is what you describe. However, a run of that boot in exotic colors is very, very rare.
