Very cool...

Also interested in your care routine and products.  I have zero issues with patina, etc. for mine, just curious.  Unless it seems to fail at something my plan is to stick with Alden Boot Cream for them.

CXL is one of the easiest leathers to take care and it will age naturally.

I wipe them off with damp cloth after each wear and brush for a bit. Once every few months I would apply some Saphir Reno, brush and buff.

I agree with this approach as well - CXL is extremely low maintenance. I bought some of the Saphir Greasy Leather Cream that Hanger Project recommends but I don't apply it very often at all to my CXL.

There's a few of them listed on Grailed too; that's where I bought mine used

I bought my C&J for BB shell boots specifically for bad weather wear. I mean I wear them when it's nice out, but don't hesitate to wear them in the rain and snow. shell is weather resistant, that's part of the reason I bought them in the first place.

ditto for my Ultimate Indy's which are also very expensive shoes.

for me sole choice is a much more relevant variable than uppers. I wouldn't ever wear my single leather sole calfskin oxfords (which I bought for $80) in the rain (unless I absolutely needed to) but throw a topy on there and I'm more likely to. replace calf leather with shell or cxl and I'm even more likely

Leisure Sunday. Alden Ravello LHS from TheShoeMart. Epaulet Black and White Lavender Check Rivet Chinos. CHUP socks.

It was rainy out, so I had to shift over from my regular spot to under the patio umbrella... :-)

So far I'm brushing off before and after each wear, unless I've been really stomping around, in which case I'm going damp cloth and brush.  I've treated them once with the Alden Boot Creme after getting back from a 10-day trip where I wore them most days and it was pretty wet outside (though my time outside was fairly limited).

In any case, your Indys have a great look!

They get a decent amount of indirect sunlight on the shoe rack.  I wear them a ton though, so they get a bit more exposure than most of my other shells.
