Shawn - I have the BB model you're considering. I went with Barrie sizing which worked out well for me.

After much deliberation, I've come to the conclusion that my cigar Indys (Leffot) and cigar LWBs (AoC) are too small, and it's time for them to move on to a better home. I thought I'd give those here first shot before listing in B&S. Both are size 6E on TB and Barrie, respectively. I'm the second owner of both pairs, zennypoo being the first. Between both of us, I'd estimate less than 10 wears total. Please PM me for pics or interest in buying or trading.

That's a shame I've had to let some leffot cigar Indys go too because of sizing. But hey, you can't really enjoy them unless they fit from 9-5, so to speak

You are looking good in your new Color 8 Tankers. They came out nicely.

I was tempted with the J.Crew hunter green suede chukka. No experience with the crepe sole but seems like a nice makeup.

Sorry about the temptation, but you are looking very good today in your Plain Toe Boots.

Those look great - congrats - and the crepe sole which I originally dismissed is now a favorite of mine - if you are wearing casual and going to be on your feet or walking a lot the crepe is a winner. Here is a pic of mine.

Your Snuff PT Boots are looking very good.

Looking good Prolif, I don't know if I have seen those before. But they have a lovely shade to them... :-)

These are also my first pair on the Hampton last. I went TTS - 8.5D, and find they fit very similarly to the Aberdeen last. A little rounder in the toe. Hampton is an interesting shape.

Those are very nice. They came out very well. Enjoy them. They should be good inclement weather Balmorals.

Don, your story is rather entertaining.

The Dover PTB is not cut continuously out of one piece of shell, but instead as the bottom area "attached" to the top sides as shown here in the Leffot #8 unlined version:

The "regular" plain toe blucher is cut continuously out of a whole piece of shell (classic model 990 with black edge shown here):

Each person seems to have their preference, but I'm a fan of the Dover style. The CXL PTB dover was my first Alden, and from there I've added Tan suede, Navy suede, Snuff suede and Leffot Color #8 versions. I like the look of the slightly sleeker way the Dover looks and the fit on the dover is better for me overall.

Ditto. Epaulet seems to get the short end of the stick from Alden considering the lengthy delays in our pre-orders. Makes zero sense.

MP, what size are you? I'm on the pre-order for the Alt Wien shoe but I'm considering letting someone else have my spot. Size 9D.

I actually purchased them last year when they first came out but got tired of waiting for them to stock my size so I cancelled and used my 30% on another pair of Alden's. Still like these a lot and may pull the trigger. Thanks for the info schmallo15. Much appreciated.

I think it is in the execution of the preorder.

If you notice, Leffot only opens up a preorder once they have an order placed and confirmed. If you read the fine print on their preorders, it says this.

I think Epaulet opens up the preorder before the order had been confirmed and placed.

The caveat is that Epaulet gives you more flexibility on size on the preorder.

Leffot limits you dramatically, unless you can get in with an email to them before all the predetermined slots are filled.

This may not be the case, and someone can correct me, but I believe this to be true.
