Pretty good for a casual boot.

Thanks, I think these laces go better when dressing up these boots. Alden laces make them look more casual.

while on the topic, what others here think about dressing up these with odd trousers and sport coat? I've mostly seen these here with jeans and chinos...

Absolutely.  They're extremely versatile and I wear them that way frequently.

While I love natural CXL (and lighter color leathers), I'm thinking perhaps I don't need two new casual boots in the same leather and color. Do you agree? If so, I'll sell the Indy's (not getting rid of the Vibergs) and try to scoop up either the Ultimate Indy's or Innsbruck Indy's perhaps (or Vintage even) since I don't have a darker, brown boot aside from some dressier boots and snuff suede boots. Thoughts?

The picture above is spot on. I love them. If you look at the natural CXL Indys that I just listed in B&S, you will see (hopefully even with my iPhone pics) that the natural CXL Indys are a lighter shade of natural CXL than the Vibergs. Probably always depends on the specific batch. But to answer your question, yes they would be a great match. That's why I've decided to let the natty Indys go and search for the 403 Innsbruck or Ultimate Indy.

Ravello rolls.  On a side note, visited the B&M Shoemart shop today.  The plaza-lasted boots in smooth calf (Indy and cap toe) are really nice.  Looked like Ravello at first glance.

My Viberg natty's are still lighter than those pictured above

Honestly I always upgrade to shell in all models of footwear because of the longevity and depth of coloration between the shells:slayer:
