An unsolicited pump for csmitty's BNIB Leffot unlined dovers.  Mine are one of my favorite and most comfortable pairs.

What's the best way to find out where a particular combination exists? I hate to spam the thread with "where can I find this" questions but Google isn't up to the task here (and there's probably a certain amount of operator error...)

I'd like to find snuff suede NST's, preferably in barrie, preferably reverse welt with either commando or waterlock and antique or light edge. Fine with boot or blucher.

Also, photos I see of snuff varies in color from brown:

to a little more taupe:

I'm really preferring the taupe color.

Frankly, my ultimate would be a Ravello NST boot. Seems like leathersoul or TSM did that at some point...

This shoe stuff is hard... wink.gif

Right. They are going to look like this the first day you wear them, so if they fit and you like the style, returning them is silly. You're just creating work for you and the retailer

To each there own I guess.  I appreciate everyone's opinions.  I am new to the game here so its nice to hear what others have to say about it.  Just to add a little more to my thought process though...

Here are the original pair I got that I deemed too small for me, from Alden SF AFTER one full days wear.

And here are the ones from Shoe Mart straight out of the box.  To me, they were not worth full retail price.  Either way, the issue has been put to rest.

Seems like the older snuff suede was more brown with copper tones and the more recent stuff is the more taupe shade.
I'm basing this on a sample space of about 5 pairs.

So you wore a pair of CXL shoes for a full day before deciding they were too small and returning them, but you're upset when you receive a pair of shoes in the exact same condition?
