Although this is not Alden, this shoe is a really good value for those who might want to experiment with Edward Green. I have owned this shoe for several years (over $1K Special Order) and love its versatility with the Ridgeway sole. It looks quite sleek...

It's been listed for several weeks, price lowered a couple of times. Again, not my listing...

Cheers!

Spectacular shoes! Ridgeway sole is outstanding.

My 13D barrie cordovan boots are a bit tight, especially if I wear anything but thin socks. My suede chukkas have stretched so that thick socks are a bit of a must.

Interesting, thanks guys. It seems there may be 12E's available. Would you have thought that would be a good substitute for a 12.5D?

Hi Guys,

Quick Indy Boot question,

I want to buy an Indy Boot , I live in a hot climate and don't wear boots often(only a pair of suede Chukkas) but this winter I'll be traveling to NY and VT , So I want a pair of boots that can take a beating in snow ,rain etc but a pair that are also comfortable for walking in NY and that I can look good with chinos and denim and be wearable in summer weather.

My options are , Epaulet Innsbruck on Commando,Leffot Nat Cxl on Commando or a 2nd Nat Cxl on Neocork from TSM.

What are your opinions on Neocork vs commando? , I don't have exp. with Neocork and have only tried the Commando briefly.

thanks in advance for your Help.

@epc2 I would probably go with something on commando for versatility season wise. I have regular 403s and wore them all over in NYC even when it was hot and they're fine. I wouldn't wear them in snow at all though, for that I'd want commando and only for light snow at best. Definitely wouldn't be wearing them say in Jan/Feb when the snow is typically the worst.

I had a pr w/neocork and found them a little slick on some surfaces, so I'd go Commando for all around use.

For CXL you US guys should check out Lost and Found in Toronto. With the US dollar so strong compared to CDN it may be a decent option. Others I find CXL Indy pretty easy to track down.
