Can't wait to see some images & look forward to your thoughts. Grant is one of those lasts about which I've always been hesitant. The DC cigar cap toe boots have always been a temptation but I never want to chance the fit.

My PCT's have broken in so nicely, I don't need another color 8 cap toe boot but cigar is very tempting.

I just had a life affirming experience.  wanted a pair of Whites custom boots and found a great dealer 45 miles away in Eugene, Or.  off I went and what a store.  sold guns too,  well looking around after ordering and measuring I spotted Allen Edmonds and low and behold  Aldens Indy boots.  I had convinced myself I would probably never get a another pair of black shoes but damn black indy boots for     wait for it:   $200 and since it's Oregon no tax out the door.  done deal.  even bought a pair for a friend with horrible feet.  apparently being a college town they sell nearly everything early to Asian students with smaller feet and end up with larger sizes only.  my 11 e qualify and my friends 13 d were the only 13 at all.  happy ,  happy ,  happy.  decided to get danite soles put on mine I was so euphoric.I  started my entire new love affair with nice shoes with my aldens   10 1/2 d indy cxl  which were eyecatching and just ever so tight.  these fit perfectly and will handle our weather perfectly.  just had to share my big win.

JR, the Frans Snuff LWB is a fantastic makeup. If I didn't have far more than my Snuff Suede quota, I would have definitely picked up that makeup... :-)

Looking great and classy as always Chippy. Both of those are fantastic and classic models. The Brooks Tassel with the foxing is just magnificent. Both the Lined and Unlined LHSes are stellar as well. The Lined guy like your 987 is more formal and classic though. Enjoy them both of your Labor Day Weekend!

Man it's annoying being a 12.5D! I'm phoning everywhere trying to locate a Snuff Barrie LWB and nowhere is delivering. I've tried DC, Madison, Shoemart, Citishoes and Leathersole, all to no avail. Anyone have a suggestion on how I can get my hands on a 12.5D without having to wait 4+ months for Alden to make one?

Your shoes are looking terrific. I really would love to get a NST Saddle someday...

Your trousers are also fantastic and have a great texture to them.

Generally, do people find they are the same size in both cordovan & suede? I can find the snuff Barrie LWB in 13D easily - would that work for me if I'm a 12.5D in cordovan Barrie? Basically, would the suede fit "snugger"?
