jet - if i could only have one pair it would be the LHS

That has been a shoe I have never liked. I would look at it and go "blah". But now I understand it and want a pair badly. I may hold out for cigar. Def cigar or #8. I am not sure Ravello would be as good for that shoe.

Is there any way to get polish off the contrast stitching on the toe of Indy boots? I bought a pair used and the stitching had been polished over by the previous owner.

i should have been more specific: if i could only have one of the shoes i already own it would be the LHS in #8. cigar would be pretty gentlemanly, and i originally went in for whiskey but no luck.

didnt make it to unionmade, yet. busier sunday morning than i anticipated. i want to check out the Golden Bear varsity jacket.

what im wearing today. i think whiskey shoes would have went better

I do not think so. I would just get used to it because I have seen a lot of older boots with the colored contrast stitching look very, very sharp. I have been careful with mine but I still notice it is off white now. I would be careful of using anything that might whiten the threads because it could either damage the threading or the leather.

My concern is that anything you use to remove the color from the stitching can also remove it from the leather.

Those look great with that. Whiskey is overrated IMHO.

Why don't you just exchange at J. Crew?

Are those J. Crew's Tobacco colorway? I'm asking because when I purchased my pair a week or so ago (well pre order), all sizes are on back order with expected ship date of 10/11/10. And right now if you go to their site, size 8, 9, and 9.5 are sold out.

If it is model '97641' (that's what the picture indicates) that matches the Alden x J Crew longwing in tobacco.

They look MUCH better in person than they do on the J. Crew website.

What size did you order?
