I would avoid selling on GYW. Too much policing of what you're selling. A couple of times, I was "replied" to that I was asking too much for my shoes.  Last time I checked, I'm still in a capitalist country.

Need to try Grailed. Ebay gives you the most eyeballs, but the fees are a bit much.

The pic is pretty accurate. I bought that boot last go around but they sent me the wrong size and sold the last of my size during the process, so I returned it and gave up on them as a retailer.

I feel your pain, that happened to me with the jcrew Cordovan Indy only instead of the wrong size I received a pair of women's sandals, lol

Hopefully everyone here knows these are not Whiskey Shell Cordovan:

Wanted to give a heads up just in case someone was thinking about pulling the trigger quickly. Not sure how the seller has 100% rating. I feel like he should lose some points for this posting.

Pictures seem to be fully functional again. I'm back and forth about if I like the NST more than the Indy Boot but these are awesome. Love the look on the plaza last.

This may be the first pair of Whiskey's I would grab - these are outstanding...I am still freaked out a little about how close the dubster gets his boots lacing..my ankles get sore just looking at them!....love the lacing pattern.

im same size as you and i was most comfortable with a 11.5d. yes its tight but i rather it be 1/4 tight (but wearable) than have my toes wiggling around in a shoe that 1/4 big. the grant last is long enough to accomade barrie/trubalance size. it comes down to which issue youre willing to live with. ive come to the conclusion that the grant is an imperfect last in the same way C&J for RL 325 last d width is

the post does seem a bit disingenuous. he tries to call these "whiskey" but refrains to call them shell cordovan. i'm pretty sure the well-informed buyers will not be deceived.

it even looks like calf based on the creases.

Considering another pair of Alden boots.  Considering these on the Grant last, but not sure on size.  I could give up a tiny bit of size in my 11.5 D Indy's, but the Grant appears to be on the line as far as true-to-size or move down 1/2 size on the chart.  Any thoughts?

These Indy Boots are terrific! They are a great color as well. Yes, the Grant is a "Tweener". My recommendation is to obviously try a pair on, but if not possible, you will need to make a judgement call. If the Indy's are a pidge loose, stick with the same size, if they are tight, then size up. Just for the record, my observation is that about 2/3rds go Barrie/TB size and 1/3 go TTS. I am in the TTS bunch. That fraction is just via my observations here over the past 2-3 years...

Rare Alden for Anatomica suede loafers modified last

Very cool and indeed rare. I personally am not in need of orthotic footwear, so those don't appeal to me at all, but if I did, it would be good to know that penny loafers exist on the modified...

Welcome to the club Mr. Zinc. Those Burnished Tan JCrews tend to be a gateway drug into the Alden community. Enjoy them and you may not want to hang out here too much if you don't want them to multiply many fold...

I think color 8 LWB might be a little to dressy for my style.

Thanks Saz and Kahuna. I just lace them up until they are somewhat snug. I had very thin Marcoliani socks on under them. But they were actually errantly made in size 10B for me instead of 10.5B. So I have been wearing thin socks with them, but they are such chunky monkeys on the TB last that I could probably still be fine with thicker socks on. I just was trying to pair the socks to the slacks... BTW, this is an amazing looking boot Kahuna. If you get the chance to order them, do it and don't look back.... :-)

Cheers!
