J. Crew Snuff/ color 8 saddles

Finally scored a pair barely worn on eBay!

Congrats!  I would have bid heavily for those if I hadn't been in the dog house in a big way with my wife.

Congrats and enjoy them!

I wasn't sure what to expect on the finish, or lack thereof, but I really like it.....especially since I plan on wearing them with more casual pants.

Not sure when these were made, but the cigar has a fanastic shade that is much lighter/more olive than other cigar models I currently own or have seen in the past.

Well Damn. I guess those were Franks. I was hoping to get them at some point since EPs saddle fell through. They sure are unique.

Considering another pair of Alden boots.  Considering these on the Grant last, but not sure on size.  I could give up a tiny bit of size in my 11.5 D Indy's, but the Grant appears to be on the line as far as true-to-size or move down 1/2 size on the chart.  Any thoughts?

I do not recall seeing Indy's on Grant. Trust Grant to work TTS but if you size length to match Barrie or Trubalance you can then go wider for a perfect fit - so Grant 11.5E or 12D will be what to try first.

Apologies - the boots I was looking for were the cap-toe below at Frans Boone.  They're all D width.

^ with 11.5d (thin sock)you get a little toe pinching especially after 8 hours on your feet. The 11.5e feels like the toe box is too tall and the added width girth all around resembles a Barrie looking boot, and with 12d it feels a little big everywhere and slightly long but a medium-thick sock will fill up that space easily

so what are we having this evening? Oh btw, the 11.5e is unavailable I'm a ditz and didn't bother to read that on the specials menu

So if I'm happy in my Indy's in 11.5D and could offer a tad of length and width, will that boot be OK in an 11.5 or should I go 12?  Won't have a chance to try them on...

Very nice. I've had these for a couple of years. One of my most worn casual shoe. Perfect for air travel, crepe is mighty comfy.
