TSM Ravello NST boot.

Japanese watches can be just as addictive as the Aldens. I started out with an SKX007 a few years ago then moved on to a quartz Tuna and MM300. It's been a slippery slope ever since. Today I'm trying to decide which Grand Seiko I want. Somebody should buy my Aldens I have for sale here to help me fund these purchases! nod[1].gif

There is only one right answer for the Grand Seiko - SBDB001 - MM600!

LWB - Yes, I'd wager you can find Cigar and Whiskey in less than one year if you try hard enough and pay close attention to updates on this thread. Ravello will be more difficult

Boots - Same as above, especially if you are open to different deisgns: sw, indy, cap toe, etc

Edited to add- D width in 9-11 gives you the best chance. What size are you?

Unworn in my closet: #8 NST from Leffot, #8 WTB from LeatherSoul, #8 LHS, Alpine grain v-tip from LeathSoul, and I feel like I am forgetting one or two others.

While I like the SBDB001, that one is so close to the MM300 and I already have a Spring Drive Tuna. I think If were going to get something like that I'd go for the limited edition SBEX001.

When I started my search for a GS, it was between three vastly different pieces: The white-faced quartz diver, a GMT, or a Snowflake. I love the accuracy of the GS quartz and I prefer divers in general but the price is hard to get past and they are tough to find used. I love the function of the GMT complication (even though I rarely travel out of this timezone anymore). I love the iconicness of the Snowflake.

I may just have to settle and get the very Snowflake-like SBGJ001 which has the GMT complication and is a Hi-Beat to boot.
