Whenever I go hiking, I always wear my ravello cap toe boots. The commando sole gives me better wet traction and the toe cap provides extra protection. smile.gif

This is funny because it's true. I still have yet to wear my new suede SWB outside the apartment. Dunno what I'm waiting for.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm..... that video was amazing. I especially like the sound the shoes make when he moves his foot around.

Question for the experts. My new CXL PTBs are unlined in the tongue and throat area. There is lining in the toe box though and from the outside you can see the outline of where the lining starts. Is this normal for unlined shoes or could it have contributed to what made these seconds?

It's cooling down so you won't have to view the endless unlined Shell Penny Loafer pic's much longer.. biggrin.gif

I know much of the focus on here is of Alden's shell boots and shoes, but I have been so impressed with the Brick & Mortar non-shell makeups that I've seen recently.

The blue cxl wingtip boot was gorgeous. The navy suede/cognac calf saddle shoe is really nice looking.

And their black suede indys on commando are out of this world.

+1. Yenni is probably doing more unique models than anyone else. Some of the fall/winter stuff sounds fantastic.

I'm with watchman. I topy all of my shoes (except commando & crepe) without regard to soles and have had zero issues.

Deciding between lined and unlined suede chukka..thoughts? Live in NYC. I like the aesthetics of J Crew version and the regular version just about the same
