is 6 months the norm for Alden for preorders? I thought it was much longer.

I believe Leffot submits their orders and gets them confirmed by Alden long before they open up their orders for sizing assignments.

At least, that's how I figure they are able to get theirs in within a 6-8 month window when it's basically double for everyone else.

But I'm a 10.5E in Barrie/Trubalance. I think, for me, it's an arch length / relatively short toe thing. So I go down a full size more or less.
Thanks! It feels good to have somebody validate my concerns. Thought I was going crazy!

It's not very common I don't think, but there are some of us out there:)

I'll prob sell my 10D chukkas now but keep the ravello 10D because who knows when I'll see a 9.5! Can't take risks like that :P

Congrats, I love the snuff LHS.

I have the unlined tan suede LHS and though they were very snug compared to my barrie last shoe or even my lined LHS they formed to a very comfortable fit after a few wearings.

Your post got me thinking about whether these are unlined and it turns out that they are (6243F). I've had them on for about 30 minutes and they feel great. I wanted them a little smaller as these will be shorts/sockless shoes and these will fit the bill just fine. I have a hunch these will ultimately fit as you describe.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely helpful.

I actually could see my name marked on a sticky on the shoe box in the Leffot Instagram photo. Happy day!

Quick question.
Im sure it's been mentioned a lot in the long history of this thread.
Just bought my first pair of aldens. I went with the 920 in brown.
The pair I got fits perfect. So perfect that I'm nervous about any stretch factor.
How much stretch should I anticipate?

My thoughts, and I think others would agree, the shoe should fit out of the box. I wouldn't buy a shoe based on potential stretch. If it fits good and you like them, then it's the right size. Plus if the fit is spot on, then stretch will be minimal. Things stretch when and where its needed so if it isn't too tight or snug to begin with, then in theory, not much stretch will occur.

And congrats on your first of many Alden's. The slope gets much more slippery after the first. Hell of a ride though.

These PTBs came in from our fellow contributor Shawn in essentially mint condition. He tells me he wore them 5x. More like one time when he tried them on before he topyd them. Anyway, if he's selling, rest assured he's a standup guy. Thanks! Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Pants are Ep walts. Will try to post whiskey comparison pics later.

Good to see you here Doc! Lovey PTBs. Cool Walts also.

Yes, they will ship. They are Whiskey Shortwing Balmorals and Ravello LWBs. Not Whiskey.
