Can't wait till Leffot fills this year's pre-order. Can't wait to get these on my feet!
You and me both, just confirmed that the delivery date is still late 2013. Was worried when I saw the new pre order with a date of hopefully mid 2014.

I thought about jumping on the tanker they just announced, but I think I'll hold out for something on a last other than Barrie.

I really dig the LWBs in #8 http://leffot.com/shop/index.php/pre-orders/97581-pre-order.html

The Tanker Boot doesn't do it for me - too much going on and the NST drives me nuts, but I know A LOT of people love it, so I'm probably the weirdo

Can't wait to get the LWB!

Seems you're not a fan of any toe stitching...

Doesn't this defect change the fit?  The fact that it is on the vamp makes it a bit more obvious.

I could be wrong but I believe that the stitching on the Indy boot is purely for cosmetic purposes. It isn't true moccasin construction so the stitching wouldn't change that and I doubt the stitching is pulled tight enough to change the shape of the boot in that regard either.

Sizing question for those w/ experience in the Leydon Unlined Suede Chukkas.

Last year I purchased the Epaulet Leydon LWB in a 12D. The fit is good. On the narrow side, but good and comfortable. This fall, I'm looking to pick up the Snuff Unlined Chukka on the Leydon and wanted to initially pick up the same size. However, all the e-sources, have dried up and are only stocking Es in a 12 (TSM, Leffot, etc).

Were I to get the 12E in the chukka, how much wider of a sole am I looking at? Am I going to be sloshing around in a shoe that's far to big? Should I possibly consider a 11.5E, which seems to be readily available at both TSM and Leffot? Is there anyone out there who's undertaken a similar sizing endeavor?

Quoted to not have it lost in the shuffle. Also:

Could someone with well aged #8 and Cigar LHS post them side by side? My #8s have a beautiful patina and the new out of the box cigar LHS look almost identical.

Trying to determine if the cigar LHS are worth keeping.

Ha! Say No To Toe (stitching) LOL

I wonder what the time frame is on the LWB #8s

...would I be able to wear them to the 2016 Olympics?

I "heard" that Leffot's shipping quotes are usually pretty good. First quarter 2014 sounds pretty promising!

In my experience the Indy CXL fits fine while Indy Cordovan fits tight at the vamp, both in same size.

Can any Tanker owners state whether or not they fit differently than their boots w/o stitching? I'm also thinking about pre-ordering. TIA!

With the recent J.Crew coupon, got these white suede 10.5's for $392 shipped. Used Nano spray and it's amazing.

anyone got a pic of suede aldens that they've left untreated and worn with reckless abandon? not purposefully abused, just worn on the regular.

Looking for an answer to this too, I've been wanting a suede boot that I can carelessly stomp around in for the fall.
