My first traditional Alden dress shoe.  Can't believe it's taken this long.  I need a black pair next, without the perf (9071).

holy cow! that is a great shade of #8 right there.

nicely done rtp.

Vass makes a fine chukka, and their olive suede is very nice. I could order an MTO through them, but I prefer the shape and pattern of Alden's, and that crepe sole...

I guess I'm posting rather out of desperation. Does anyone have any info or leads that I may be missing?

Thanks!

Any idea if this is a stock model? I would give Yenni at B&M a call, she's very good about checking with the factory for odd sizes on stock models.

Alden does such a great job with balmoral stylings.  Very underrated IMHO.

If their was the opportunity to get the cordovan rainbow in Alden balmorals, I would take the plunge with no questions asked.

Here are my 9015's:

Trickers makes that same boot in many colors and at least 2 shades of green. Ask around for the wide width.

Oh, thanks for the heads up. I've been vaguely interested in the brand, but never followed through with investigating. I'll check out the appropriate thread.

I remember the suspended-in-air-bals from a while ago.  This pic certainly bumped this make-up up to the top of my desired list!  Much thanks @Watchman1... I'm glad I finally acquired them!

Thanks DV.  I was grateful that you didn't beat me to them like the brown grain/color 8 saddles! :D

Also, I totally agree with your dark denim/tan suede LWB comment... it always makes for a killer combo!  Well done @tifosi, I mean @rydenfan!!  :rotflmao:

can someone explain the pros and cons of chromexcel vs calf.  also, please explain why the leather sole seems different on all chromexcel models.

Chrmxl is a more rugged material that will give you a "distressed" look over time. Calf usually applies to a more dressy/formal setting. Chrmxl I think can take more of a beating. I like both but for different uses and settings.
