Thanks DV.  Did you happen to pick up those saddles from the Bay a few days ago??  Someone sniped that same pair from me at the last minute.  Whoever got them got a great deal.  Hope they have a great new home with a member here!

I stumbled upon this pair of Cigar LHS this week. I had them shipped to me and the the shoe trees that shipped with them dinged up the toes on both shoes, but especially so on the right shoe. Any chance these can be fixed? I am thinking about returning them and getting on a wait list for a new pair, but I was told 1-2 years and reading recent posts here, that seems to be accurate. I guess my other option is to wear them, and hope that they fade with time and wear and I can replace them down the line if I am dissatisfied.

Are those size 8D by chance?  If so, I was watching the same pair on eBay... Like what DV mentioned, you should be able to reduce that with some deer bone and should reduce over time.  Looks like a questionable packing job by the seller.  Weren't the shoe trees INSIDE the shoes?

They actually came from Alden store on Madison in NYC. I walked in and there they were, sitting on a shelf. One pair in my size, 8.5D, because someone couldn't pay the balance on on a preorder/waitlist. The shoe trees were in the shoes, but the tissue paper tore and beat them to heck during shipping. I have been trying to smooth out the dings over the last few days and I think they look better, and hope that with wear they will be less noticeable.

Doesn't look like the pair of 8D from ebay that ended earlier (I was bidding on those), plus seller said NO box bag or trees for the 8D cigars in his ebay auction which pissed me off right at the end.

However, if anyone got the ebay cigar LHS in 8D from ebay...I got the dough and ready to buy.biggrin.gif

I think the iPhone camera is pretty damn good, at least on the latest versions.  In this photo I feel like it has to do more with the lighting you're in.

Yup. As a semi-pro photographer, photography is 90% lighting. @JR Magat can confirm.

@Akeem

Those are incredible my friend, insufficient lighting/camera notwithstanding.

Congrats Sir.

The fit look very good as well.

thank you. I find the 379x to be a bit narrow in the waist for me, but the feeling goes away throughout the day. My toes are quite happy though.

LOL, yes indeed :lol:

Though I am guilty (or lazy) and just use my iPhone camera for shoe pics as well. @Akeem harsh/direct sunlight is probably the most difficult light to work with for photography.  Shade and clouds are typically my friend or lighting around sunrise/sunset is ideal :)
