Great pick up Sir!

You've got some of the best 'in the wild' shots on SF so I'll be looking for a live pic of these from you. I sold my monk straps around 6 months ago simply because I didn't wear them enough. It will be interesting to see if these suffer a similar fate.

Appreciate the words stevefok. Thanks.

For calf, about the same as Alden. I don't know about shell.

Alden calf is between $500-$550, with a few models actually below $500. I don't think you can get Vass calf that low.

Actually you can get them around 500 usd that include shipping for vass suede & calf shoes give or take directly. Not comparing to main USA stores were Mark up is high as any other euro shoe.

Where? I don't have any Vass, but for that price I'd pick up a pair or two....

Hey please check your pm.

The thing about Vass is the sizing. Can be hard to do for nonstandard width over distance.

What is so attractive for me about Alden is that I know that the fit will be good.

Vass are indeed incredible and I am awaiting them to restock their exotic shell supplies so I can have them make me something.

However, Alden are a great shoe in their own right. ALL the rare Aldens I have acquired recently have been as flawless as any other maker.

Vass are not immune to flaws...check the recent Vass thread for further details.

Does Vass build a better shoe? I think we all know the answer to that...

Nevertheless, I find it interesting that there is such a strong demand for Aldens in Germany which is actually Vass country.

NAMOR's Vass collection makes me want to try them for sure, the only reluctance is sizing...

Thanks.
