Grant fits my high arch feet best among all the Alden lasts I have tried. I'm 8E in grant, and go with 8.5D or 8E in Barrie. Nether size fits me as well as the grant.

Yep, AFAIK Goldberg is the only one in the area that stocks Aldens.  I lost some respect for him when he tried to tell me that "kudu" Indys were actual kudu, though.

Interesting.  I've spent quite a bit of time in NOLA but never shopped.  Will have to check these places out next week.  Any other recommendations?  It's hot, so a good excuse to stay indoors.
