are those the new colour 8's? They look just like my Cigars when they were new.

Brand new from Leffot. I just received them the other day.

Just a day after getting the snuff WT boots, I got the call from Kathy that my number came up for the cigar captoes.  We always read here that when you least expect it, a bunch of your pre-orders can come in at once.  I had only hoped to be so lucky.  So this will be a first--getting an Alden twofer in less than a week.

I think that once I get these, I'm close to done.  Waiting on the hallecks, the ravello and cigar WTBs, and a pair of ravello WT boots, then that's it.  And maybe a chamois greenwich boot.  Leffot always surprises me with something great (like those #8 LWB with the red insole!) so I guess I'll have to leave things open for those unexpected makeups, but other than that I'll be done.  Right?

First of all, how do you folks know about Perlis???  @bespoken pa, I think I remember you being from the area.  I thought it was a well-kept NOLA secret!

Secondly, my Tankers arrived today from Alden SF.  I haven't even tried them on yet.  They are something to behold.  All that could make them better would be antique edging...

I'm very pleased.

I've been away from the forums for a while. I need to call Kathy about the cigar captoe boots. I contacted them three or four times in the past regarding these and I was told I was first in my size everytime. I checked my phone records online and I never received a call from a DC number.  I hope they didn't mix up the list because I've been on the waiting list for over a year...

Thanks for any insight you can offer.

I wear an 8.5E in the Barrie and go with a 9E in the Grant. The Grant in 9E feels a little roomier but it's preferable to the snugger 9D. Hope this helps.

I am between 10 E and 10.5 D in Barrie and the 10.5 E Grant fits very well. The 11 D Grant was ok in width but a touch long and too high in the toe box.

Grant is a tweener. I highly recommend trying on before buying. I have a 11 D black shell cap toe boot on Grant that I've been meaning to get on B&S as a result of my sizing adventure.

7E for both Barrie and grant on me, you should really try the grant on as it can fit very differently depending on the shape of your feet.

They make a nice fitting polo shirt, that's about the extent of my love. And the crawfish logo is a bit whimsical compared to the Lacoste.
