What do you guys think about some Alden T's?

Like, the dark green with a nice big Alden Logo in the middle of the shirt?

Would look sick with some denim and whiskey, ravello, black, #8....not to mention mahogany, #4, #2 brandy etc, etc, etc.  biggrin.gif   biggrin.gif   biggrin.gif
I'll take 2 medium ones. One to wear and one to keep without creases.

And congratulations sir!

14oz did indeed confirm 379x, but, it would not be the first time a shop did not get a last right.

My comment was one last Hail Mary in regard to trying to get some finality…

Looks like I will find out next week.

@BenLeaman has boots on the Barrie and the 379X I believe.

Why yes, yes I do.

I have a couple of pairs of boots on Barrie, one pair on Trubalance and one pair on 379X. I sized them all down 0.5 from TTS.

I find that the toebox of 379X and Trubalance are pretty similar, with Barrie being slightly more tapered.

The midfoot of Barrie and 379X feel similar while it feels wider on Brubalance.

The waist and heel of 379X fits tighter and narrower than either Barrie or TB.

Here are some quick pics since I am currently sitting waiting for my wife to be home so we can go get some dinner. The difference in design, material and welt make it kind of tough to discern much differences. But atleast it's something to look at :fonz:

Logo = no go. It reminds me of people who are too into Rolex wanting Rolex shirts, hats, jackets, etc.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Logo when it is something that 99.9% of the world has never heard of....I am still waiting to meet a person in real life that has heard of Alden.

Well, since we have several of us that are at least mildly interested in an Alden T...

Now just to find a vendor…hmmm….Wait, I know one….@Alden of Carmel

What I want is one of these...

Gentlemen, I give you the Aldenmobile:

Thats what I'm talking about.  :nodding:  :nodding:  :nodding:

@watchman1 Wishing you and your wife a safe delivery and healthy baby!

Also, I'd kop a T. Need it to be 20/20 though so I can flip it on eBay for $1000

Congrats brother on your new child. Care to disclose the gender?

I am not sure if you are serious or joking on the Alden T-shirt or not. I wouldn't be too interested in a shirt to be honest as I just don't wear T-shirts anymore except doing house chores. However, I could go for a polo shirt. Forest green with just the Alden "Goat" Crest in a golden thread would be tasteful but not obnoxious if logo was like 1". I could probably figure it out if folks were interested.

Gentlemen,

Thank you very much.

We are having a little girl.

This is #4 and not the color.

This will even the playing field…2 boys and about to be 2 girls.

4 no more is the motto I think.  Not for any other reason that we have our hands full now.

We are truly blessed indeed in so many ways.

Thanks.

@mdubs

You know, I felt the same way.  TBH I am one of the old codgers that say if you cannot cover up a logo with a quarter than it is too big...

But, this thread is in the; "Street Wear and Denim" genre on SF, so, I guess I was trying to fit in.  "Become all things to all men…."  if you will.

Yes, a conservative polo would be very cool.

Many thanks to @BenLeaman for being a top notch dude and proxying the Cigar Captoe boots for me. My Whiskey WTB were $203 on arrival!

Check IG for a pic. They are very close to the shade that '14 batch from Adam had for his LWB's. They will be stunners.
