Does anyone have a side by side comparison of Barrie last vs AE 5? Just for reference.
i want to say b. nelson offers waterlock. i dont think waterlock is exclusive to alden
AE does a waterlock sole as well. However, there's something different about how it looks. Their version is almost more plastic-like.
I believe you're right. I think it is a JR waterlock. I have them on a couple pairs of my boots, so far so good.i want to say b. nelson offers waterlock. i dont think waterlock is exclusive to alden
B Nelson does offer a waterloc outsole. I've had it done.
Size? I wear an 8.5EE in the 5 last and an 8E in the Barrie
Uncle, I've never seen an Indy look so rich and stylish. Are they on the tru-balance last? Very nice boots sir.
No I mean a picture. Like side by side of both of the shoes (from the top down) To see how much wider/etc the Barrie is.
I tend to think that commando sole automatically makes it too casual to be a dress boot. Is that not true?
Yes, thank you very muchI wear 10D in barrie and 10.5D in the AE 5 last. Hope these pics help you... and... The length should be about the same but the barrie is clearly roomier. The heel and arch are certainly wider in the barrie. However, be careful as the storm welt will give the barrie an even wider appearance. Half size down usually works for most. Good luck my friend!
