Alden DC Grant cigar boot > AoM Barrie lasted

That boot looks so damn good on Grant. I wish more makeups were available on Grant

Whiskey Wingtip Boot x AoM

Happy Wednesday, friends!

Just curious, but did anyone miss out on the Dovers in 11D?

Pleased to receive my Alden unlined Chukkas but I noticed an ugly stitching on the welt on both shoes. For those with the same boot is this normal or should I be sending them back ( a real pain as I'm in Europe). I'm surprised for a shoe of this price.

That is actually fairly normal Alden welt stitching behavior.

It looks to be in the inside of the boot, so, no big deal in my mind.

That is a classic model, enjoy them. smile.gif

Ugly but normal. You're in Europe... I'd stick with some of the other EU/UK makers.

Thought I was participating in Whiskey Wednesday, until I realized these are Ravello. Guess I should have turned on the light in my closet.

Regardless, Ravello LWBs from AoC paired with Indigo wool flannel from EP.

Wow. They look whiskey to me. Have they lightened considerably with wear?

I can't say, as I only recently picked them up from another forum member. They're a little darker IRL than in this pic, however.

Both work fine. VSC works fine too. The Saphir Neutral cordovan will/may slightly darken light shell.

Has anyone changed a 270 welt to 360?
