They're gorgeous. They're a really lovely mid-brown shade of Cigar. Not too dark, and no olive/poop undertones that I can detect. I apologize for the photo quality - I am not a great photographer and the light isn't great. They look darker in the photos than they are in real life.

As far as quality - it's overall excellent. No flaws I can discern except that the shell on the right boot's toe cap is rougher than the shell elsewhere. Hopefully with time/age/brushing/buffing, it'll smooth out a bit. No dry spots to be found, unlike a lot of my recent AE shells.

Thanks again for the PSA.

Wow.  I'm going to catch alot of crap for this comment, but I may actually prefer a Barrie cap toe's aesthetics to Grant.  I have a Barrie Color 8 Cap Toe Boot and a Grant Ravello Cap Toe Boot and other than the Grant last being better fitment and more comfortable by a long shot (and my favorite shade - Ravello), the Barrie IMO looks better in a Cap Toe design.  These are phenomenal!  Can't wait to start seeing some direct sunlight photos and first wears popping up!

Have a Blessed Weekend Gentlemen.

@Watchman1 - such an incredible shine, sir!  Do you have any tips to share on how you managed such brilliance?

(also, trying to find the 'spoiler' function so as not to re-post pictures.  Not having any luck)

It took a while for me to figure out as well.  This is how I do it:  highlight the photos using your curser and then hit the spoiler button (the one that looks like a speech bubble).

It's hard to beat Mama's Fish house in Maui.  We always eat there on our last day of the visit.

Just picked these up today. I like how they are enough different from a 975 to not be redundant as they're a boot and short wing. Liking a lot so far.

Those look great! I kind of want a pair now. Wish they were on commando though. By the way, your photos are great - much better than what AoM posts on instagram. AoM and the shoe mart really make some amazing shoes look dull. The other extreme is Leffot making them look unreal.

Thanks all. I am very excited about them and I think they will patina beautifully. I like the Barrie last a lot and think it's really nice for a boot.

Looking great! I have a pair of these as well, and love them. I don't have the 975, but this is my substitute. What a fantastic boot!

aom cigar ct boots. they're keepers.

not nearly as dark as last years cigar offerings from sf chukka, leffot's indy, harrison ltd. tassel, or dc ct boots

i can see potential for lighter tones after a couple of wears.

and next to my favorite olive cigar lwbs
