Very nice Buz, just be careful with the toes putting them in there.

And your finger nails when you take them out. A boot slipped out when I took a pair out once and my short nails still managed to scratch it a bit. But nothing a good brushing and buffing couldn't fix.

Wait....im having a hard time believing this. Are you constantly purging or something?

Very respectable and admirable collection @Burzan! I'm always admiring your rotation on Instagram

I keep all my shoes in their boxes (albeit not every pair has its original box, as you can see from my handwriting on the boxes). It also gives me a decent sense of which pairs I wear less often, as they end up near the bottom of the 4-5 box stacks. Two boxes are not pictured, as they are currently on vacation.

Collection is still mostly AE at this point, but I'm slowly creeping towards more Carmina and Alden.

Also, can we talk about how Alden uses boxes that are definitely too small for their shoes? AE and Carmina have the right idea with box size.

Thanks, the collection pretty much close to where I want it to be for now, I only have the Dover inbound. I would like to add the king LHS to replace my AE Patriot loafer along with getting the Unionmade Natty CXL NST boot at some point but no rush. Slowing down for the rest of the year as my son is turning one and heading to a dayhome which is going to eat into the shoe budget a bit going forward.

awesome pictures of boxes. i personally think Carmina offers really nice boxes and AE Indy boxes are really nice as well. Alden on the other hand offers crappy boxes. looks like a great collection btw, and i have a hunch you'll end up with more Alden than any other shoe maker.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm sure at the end of the day I'll end up with more Alden than anything else.

It's a shame because I love the green color, the gold writing, and the lovely Alden crest/logo/font. Very classy.

Their boxes seem to be pretty flimsy, too.

Agreed, Most boxes are taped for reinforcement at this point because they are breaking.

it would be a nightmare to keep my shoes in boxes or bags.  i like to get a visual of my options for the day.  this contrasts to my sneakers which i keep in their boxes.  i can easily read those labels and they are sorted by type so it is easier for me to do a quick scan and make a decision.

i use the cedar shoe racks from jos a bank and love those.  there is usually a little dust if i haven't work for a few weeks, but nothing a few seconds of brushing can't remedy.
