Haha, probably. Rare shell like color 2, 4, and some models like tankers, definitely. But in any case, Alden the factory and the retailers always win.

I get THE BEST FIT on planet earth today for my wide feet in Alden lasts in general.

Seems that the dear folks there had me in mind when they designed their lasts.

So...any chance you can help answer my question?

If I'm a 10E in Barrie lasted cordovan wingtip boots can I order the same size in either of these or do I need to size up? My #8 boots are a snug fit. I also have Indy boots in Kudu 10E that are much looser. Also have 974 #8 balmorals on Tremont in 10.5E, they fit well, only a touch long; 10E felt a tad tight and I couldn't close the lacing.

Yes Sir,

I do not have direct experience with chamois, however from all that I know, about the material, I would say order your Barrie size.

How do your current 10E Barrie's fit in both the shoe and boot?

Thanks.

Over time my Alden tastes haves evolved... Simple dress shoes during week, casual styles (suede, CXL) for Friday/weekend. Fancier boots (cigar Indy, chock tanker) for fall winter.

I contacted (and heard back from) LS today. They may be planning a snuff v-tip for next spring. Likely Leydon with flat welt. Not quite what I was looking for personally, but thought you might be interested.

Hey hoit, I contacted Tassels HK for you yesterday. Seems they have no plan to remake that snuff Vtip now and they usually only stock size up to 12 and they do not take pre order for non stock size.

For the purpose of only wearing these on the weekends, is this a decent pair of N&F jeans under $100? Raw selvedge selections under $100 are rare right?

I figure these will go perfect with Aldens as well as CPs.

Thanks for taking the time sir, I appreciate it! I contacted them too, but have yet to get a response. I would have assumed that they were not planning a restock... Oh well. Maybe I'll see if I can get Carmina or Bonafe to make something similar.

Hey Watchman. As I said my Barrie boots in 10E fit comfortably snug. My Tremont balmorals in 10.5E are just a tad long, and sometimes feel just a tad narrow.

I was leaning towards the LWB's since I dont have any and have more of a need for a foul weather shoe rather than another boot, but they already sold the last 10E they had available. Maybe next time. Thanks nontheless.

How does the plaza last compare to barrie or van? I am thinking of getting the patent plaintoe bals - does anyone have them?

Don't really know, but you can find plenty of relatively inexpensive raw selvedge jeans at Gustin; the only downside is that you have to wait for a while to get them.

Moose, the Plaza Last is a much sleeker last than the Barrie. Most size down for the Barrie and sticks true to size on the Plaza. Honestly, not sure if I have ever seen the Patent Leather Alden's posted here before. Gotta tux it up?
