Yeah I'm sure that Greenwich boots will go quick. I'd love to get in on a pair, but I'm stoked I got in on the tanker. If I wasn't on a few other lists I'd probably jump.

Agreed. I was also lucky enough to score a tanker and don't want to be greedy with the Greenwich. I think they're gonna go quick. Not so sure about the Naval boot.

I'd love to hear an answer to this as well.

Have you guys tried using a suede eraser?

Hope that helps.

Thank you Burzan. My ptb is 12.5D, i think the easier solution for me would be sizing up to 13d as a 12.5E would be even harder to acquire.

Thanks again

FWIW, I tried using a suede eraser on indigo bleed and it didn't work terribly well.  Maybe the folks over in the shoe care thread would have other suggestions.

I heard back from Alden this morning. Based on the picture, they said they cannot be repaired, but that they would do everything possible to make the scar as imperceptible as possible. As they need new heels and soles anyway, I am going to give them a try. Thanks for all the good advice.

grabbed the 11.5d greenwich, but emailed hoping they can change to 11.5e as I think these will be foul weather, thicker sock, type conditions. fingers crossed they can submit it as an E width

I buy Allen Edmonds from shoebank sometimes. Is there an Alden equivalent?
