i don't think the size is necessarily effected, but a 360 degree welt can result in a larger heel block than a 270 degree welt which could theoretically impact your gait.

#8 with natural edge looks mismatched to me.

100% correct. The 360 degree heel definitely changes the way a shoe feels (gait and comfort).

Can I please get some sizing advice? My first pair of Aldens (908 - Hampton Last) are a great fit at 11.5C. I know for some lasts you have to size down a half size; should I maintain the same width? This was the first pair of narrow shoes I've ever owned but worked well for me because my foot is long, wide up front, and narrow in the heel.

I take a narrow Hampton also, and do so with all the lasts as well. Keep in mind that the Hampton is one of the best lasts for your foot shape. Don't force yourself to wear a Barrie lasted shoe because you like the looks - I've wasted a lot of money trying to fit my narrow heel into the Barrie's fat heel cup.

All feet are different, but I'd start at 11.5c and go from there.

Is the Hampton narrower than the Tremont? I bought the latter in 10.5E when I think I would have preferred a 10EE instead; but not available in Alden Cordovan (974 wingtip balmoral).

The Hampton, Lydon, Aberdeen, and Plaza are all what I'd call "normal lasts" and fit tts. The Tb, Barrie, and Tremont are what I'd call "fat lasts" and don't fit tts. The grant is somewhere in between. This is just my experience, and buying shoes without trying them on is more hassle than I'm willing to deal with.

I have a feeling that if you wear a Hampton in a C width that Barrie and Trubalance will fit like boats?

This works to my advantage though because I take a 9E in Hampton/Leydon, 9D Grant, and 8.5D in Barrie/Trubalance.

Sounds like you might have a narrow foot? In my (and from what I understand most people's) experience Grant is tts, while Hampton, Leydon, Aberdeen are narrow. Not sure about Plaza as I don't own. Yes to Barrie and TB being wide lasts.

I have a narrow foot, I measure 7.5c which is exactly my size on the tts lasts. The grant is a boot last, and it's tts for me with a proper boot sock.
