Question, how often do these pre-orders occur? I had my size 8D in my cart and they got snatched up during credit card processing so I'm pretty bummed about that.

The tanker comes about once a year, I believe. Other retailers (Context, AoM, etc) also get a dozen or so every year. I'd stay in touch with them all.

I love grained shell. The stuff doesn't ever seem to show wear. I wish someone would do a LWB in grained #8. I asked Tom at LS about it many years ago and he said Alden would only allow grained shell orders from a particular retailer (in Europe IIRC).

Thought I was sunk after I forgot to check the acknowledgment box. Still made it through with the 11D. Helps ease the pain of missing the Navel. Glad there's LTE going through Kentucky!

Grain Shell is quite unique. I believe it was AoC who did a Color 8 Shell Grain LWB a number of years back... Not anywhere in the pipeline moving forward though...

I didn't even know such a thing existed! I'm not sure if I should be saddened or excited about learning this. Regardless, excellent show for the week, Mike!

Sweet group dubs.
Ravello sw rain boots!
My beater rain boots are Clarks desert boots.

I would buy pebble grain #8 sw boots right quick.

Try emailing them. They are good about adding folks to the order. If its a stock size you should still be able to do 20% down and the rest later. Non-stock sizes are typically paid in full up front. Drop them a line and see what they say.

Thanks for those pictures, I'm surprised they're so different. I too size down on the m75, and (I think) the m89 (the Barrie last for BB) which fits smaller than the regular Barrie.

I just checked my correspondence with Alden, you're correct. It's strange to me that the BB-Plaza (M75) and BB-Hampton (Snap) are both less sleek than their Alden for Alden counterparts, while the BB-Barrie (M58) is sleeker, at least to my eye. I strongly prefer the M58 to the Barrie from a fit and aesthetic perspective. I wish I had some similar style shoes to take a comparison picture of the two lasts.
