MrDV, great family photos. Congrats on the Ravello LHS. Where did you get the #4's? I need a pair to match my one-piece Horween belt. The blue laces on your whiskey PTB's are awesome, kinda almost pretty.
My friend, just about everyone of these Alden shoe models we glorify and drool over are classics, shoes that have been around for many decades, beyond the 60s and 70s. Not much if anything has been done to alter or "modernize" our shoes. No one says we have to dress as some did 40 years ago. But the fact of the matter is there are many in the business and legal world today that wear the tassel moc and even the full strap as a dress shoe with suits as well as business casual. Ridicule them all you want, it is a reality whether you choose to wear them in that context or not. To each his own...Really? The evidence presented was, by its own account, the purported habits of a very limited segment of the population . . . 40 to 50 years ago? And one wonders whether their footwear of half a century ago matters any more than what the local burghurs in Kansas City wore in 1966. So the 80-90 year old set dictates style standards. Game, set, match to them! All that said, as others have already expressed, I am simply amazed at the shine on those PTBs of Macs. Excellent and beautiful.
All of these are great, but the color of those ravello PTBs is particularly nice.5 shades of shell inspired by the new ravello lhs, these are a new brown hue for me. cigar, #4, ravello, ravello, whiskey
thanks for the kind words kwhitelaw. I was on pre-order lists with leffot for a looooong time.would love the middle pair myself. spent 15 minutes on the phone with kathy from DC then other day, having her add me to just about every preorder in ravello or cigar

MrDV. These sorts of pictures inspire all kinds of envy. Good job.5 shades of shell
V-tips look nice. They are relatively unusual model to find. I wonder if these are on be modified last. That would be unusual in itself.
Enjoy your Aldens and let us know how they are wearing for you.
