Any retailers stock a bal like this? On plaza would be the bees knees.

^^^I wish.

The closest thing is at AOM and only in black shell on Hampton.

If a 3/4 brogue Oxford on Plaza were readily available, it would propel Alden to the top of the food chain for that style, just beautiful on Plaza.

But alas, these types of shoes are only to be had in our dreams...

if we can garner enough interest, could we not tap epaulet to try and put it together?

Nope, what they have is the smooth chamois, not the rough out. Great leather. Makes a good Indy or Tanker...

Posting from your iPhone I see smile.gif They need to fix that bug.

I don't wear bals at all but I'd change my wardrobe for those. Beautiful.

Those are the shoes there. And what beauties they are.

It has always baffled me that Alden does not do more balmoral styles, they really are good at them.

I too have a Plaza black shell straight tip and it is a stunner.

As far as Epaulet is concerned, let's do that style in #8 ASAP.

I haven't been able to frequent the forums much. Does anyone know where we're at in terms of the DC cigar captoe and Frans ravello plaza indy? Seems like both were delayed for quite a while now.

After spending a good 30 minutes brushing my color 8 shells, i've noticed that both left side boots are lighter than there counterparts.  It is left obvious with the WT than it is with the PCTs. This cant be normal, so should i apply some paste wax on the one side to try to even out the colors?

Do you store them somewhere that they're in direct light, specifically the left sides?

Nope! If they receive sunlight, they both get it equally!

Probably just variability in the shell used then.  I had one pair that one of the panels was much lighter.  Paste wax would help, but I'd just let them fade and hope it evens out.  Just my preference though, I prefer color 8 after it lightens up quite a bit.

Always glad that there are other philly shoe/alden fans after seeing most of the stuff worn in this city.
