Oooh, thanks for bringing these to my attention. If they were natural cxl I would jump on them so quick. Might still...

I cancelled my AoC order. This photo of a user here's plaza lasted wingtip boot is what initially had me itching to get a pair, but I noticed the ones on AoC have a different design on the toe, and I'm not a fan of it.

I was originally only going to get one Alden shoe, but now I'm looking at getting a boot and some natural cxl longwings so I have three to rotate....ffff

I have had these ravello tassels for a while now, but have decided that it is time to get them into the rotation.....

Wow, these are amazing! I would love to get a pair in Ravello. I had a pair for a few days, but they were too big, so I passed them along.

I was a big jordan fan in high school. Begged my parents for air jordans and mr robinsons and barkleys and penny hardaways.
I also went through an "italian designer" stage after college.
Only survivors left: original spacejams, original penny foamposites, and brown bit gamo loafers.
Alden is the first shoe brand I've really been hooked on. I have bought a few Clarks desert boots and desert treks over the years, though. My drug has always been music/records. And still is, I suppose.

Glad to be back here and, of course, good to see you still going strong here. I took an Alden sabbatical to take care of some home renovations and then went on an Epaulet binge only to buy some Ironside Indys and find myself back in the game smile.gif

Ha. I was about an hour to late ordering ATLs ravello's. I just feel honored to be on some of the same preorders as Dubs.

Maybe he's in over his head with all the Alden projects, but how long does it take to strip and stain the edging and put in some new eyelets/speed hooks?? Supposed to be done in April...

Yikes... that is a long time to wait if he said some time in April for completion.  he was pretty quick on my suede LWBs (though, just brass eyelets were added) but he would text often with updates/photos & was very responsive.  I sent him a pair of AE chukkas to add antique edging so maybe he waits to get a group to strip/stain the edging together?

On the positive note, he does do great work, but he's obviously getting a lot of work lately (especially Alden work) and probably falling behind as a result.

Not that you want to be congratulated on this post but you deserve it. You've earned my respect, IMHO it is a great contribution to this forum and a prime example on what makes this forum in particular meaningful to me.

Mike-I've got to say that your ability to make every Alden you own drool worthy is off the charts awesome. I will say my wallet hates your guts because of it. Thank you for all of your contributions to this forum!
